LA SAMANNA

Welcome to

FORGET YOUR WORRIES

To reach La Samanna, your journey from Marigot will take you past the ruins of Belle Créole, Red Bay, Plum Bay, and finally to Bay Long. In front of the most beautiful hotel on the island, enjoy the scenery of Bay Long and its villas.

CROSSING 1:
LA BELLE CRÉOLE

La Belle Créole is a vast and glorious hotel complex that was devastated by Hurricane Luis in 1995 and subsequently left abandoned.

Over 20 years later, the buildings, and sometimes even the roofs, are still standing, resisting the ravages of time and storms. Nature has reclaimed its territory, and graffiti artists have had a field day. If you're a fan of urbex, this site is perfect for you!

CROSSING 2:
RED BAY

Red Bay gets its name from the fiery hue that gilds the sand at sunset. A perfect spot to make a stop if you're a snorkeling enthusiast. On this beach, there are no restaurants or bars, but rather epicureans armed with a beach towel, a good book, and a delicious picnic. Quieter and less crowded than some touristy beaches, Baie Rouge is undoubtedly one of the prettiest beaches on the island. You'll also discover the colorful stairs created by the artists of the Wall Art Saint-Martin association, cheerfully decorating the island with their paintbrushes.

CROSSING 3:
PLUM BAY

The beach of Plum Bay is hidden in the Lowlands region and is home to the luxurious villa that once belonged to Donald Trump. This wild and beautiful beach is preserved due to the lack of infrastructure and the often turbulent sea, which can make swimming challenging at times. However, it becomes a true paradise for experienced surfers.
